My Photo Converter is a free tool for converting photos between formats, built on one architectural decision: the conversion happens in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.

Why we built it this way

Most online converters upload your files to their servers, process them there, and retain them for one to forty-eight hours. That model creates real problems: privacy exposure for personal photos and documents, upload time for large batches, and running costs that push those sites toward daily limits, signup walls and subscriptions. The FBI has even warned about malicious file converter sites. We wanted the opposite: a converter where the safety claim is verifiable rather than a promise. Because conversion runs on your device, this site has no file servers, no retention window, no upload logs, and no marginal cost per conversion, which is why there are no limits and no accounts.

How to verify our privacy claim

Load any converter page, then disconnect from the internet. Conversion still works, because the engine is already in your browser. You can also watch the network tab of your browser's developer tools while converting: no photo data is transmitted. The details of every library we use are on the methodology page.
