Your photos
We never receive your photos. All conversion happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly and browser APIs. Files you select are read by your own device, converted by your own device, and saved by your own device. They are not uploaded, transmitted, logged or stored by us, and we could not access them even if asked. You can verify this by using the site with your internet connection disabled.
What we do collect
Cloudflare. The site is served as static files from a content delivery network (Cloudflare), which processes standard request metadata such as IP address and user agent to deliver the pages and protect against abuse, as described in Cloudflare's own privacy documentation.
Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how. It collects page views, referral source, approximate country/city-level location, and device and browser type. We have IP anonymization enabled, so Google does not store your full IP address against this data. Google's own privacy policy explains how this data is handled, and you can opt out of Google Analytics site-wide with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records a replayable session of your visit: mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and which elements you interacted with. It automatically masks the content of input fields. To be clear about what that recording actually contains: it captures your interaction with the page's interface, not your files. Photos are decoded and processed in your browser's local memory, never become part of the page's DOM, and cannot appear in a Clarity recording. What Clarity sees is identical to what it would see on a page with no file on it at all.
Cookies
The conversion tool itself sets no cookies and needs none to function: declining every analytics cookie below does not change how the converter works. Analytics and session-replay tools do set the following cookies once you've consented to them (or immediately, if you're outside a region that requires opt-in first):

Your choices
If you're visiting from the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you'll see a consent prompt on your first visit before any analytics cookie is set. You can accept or decline, and either choice is stored on your device. You can change your mind at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, which clears your saved choice and shows the prompt again. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal and the browser's Do Not Track setting: if either is on, we treat it as a decline and never show the prompt.
Data retention and transfer
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Microsoft Clarity retains session data for 30 days. Both Google and Microsoft process this data on servers in the United States; that transfer happens under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and equivalent UK and Swiss extensions.
Your rights
If you're covered by the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and the right to object to its processing. Since we don't operate accounts or a backend database, in practice this mostly concerns analytics data tied to your device; contact JaydenHall1962@hotmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Advertising
The site currently shows no ads. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, and any ad provider will never have access to your files, which remain on your device by architecture.
